We’ve rounded up unqiue and different ways to make Father’s Day extra special this year (because Dad might be tired of getting slippers). There’s a milkshake tasting next to a BMW bike showroom, world-famous stargazing tour, Cape Town’s annual comedy show, a steak and brandy pairing, and more things to do with the dad(s) in your life.
You and dad can crack codes together at HintHunt’s challenging escape rooms. Perfect for two to six players, these themed games - think Mission Impossible-style heists and Avengers-inspired action - lets the whole family join in on the fun. Dads will get a small treat at the end. Here’s everything you need to know about HintHunt’s escape rooms.
Date: Saturday, 14 June, 10am to 8.30pm & Sunday, 15 June, 10am to 5.30pm
Cost: From R445 per person, book via HintHunt’s website

Few coffees come with a story as personal as mischu’s signature blend. Their award-winning Isabella blend (it’s won awards like Best Cappuccino in South Africa) is named after founder Mikhael Bou Rjeily’s daughter. She was born the week her dad released his coffee blend to the South African market. You could take dad out for breakfast and try this blend at mischu in Sea Point.
Date: Saturday, 14 June; 6.45am to 5.30pm & Sunday, 15 June; 7.30am to 5.00pm
Cost: From R115 for a chicken and avo flatbread wrap
